Remmy and Cinnamon back in the pond!

Today was great for those two! The water temps finally reached within 1* F between the pond and the QT tank in my shop. Cinn is always starving so I decided to go ahead and move them today. Rem starting hanging with the big boys right away :lol: He is so cute trying to keep up with the big koi. Cinn dove in the plants sucking up algae and whatever else she could find to eat! Just like her. Rem swims great. Heiko asked if I thought they might have remembered the pond. I told him that question I could not answer.

I just wanted to let you know. I was proud!

Good news! You'll be lonely in the work shop now without them for company. Still its great that Rem made a full recovery. I'd be prepared for next winter to bring them in again.

Jackie really I needed the room in the shop bad. And Cinn thought she was starving to death in there! :lol: She is the little piggy! It was funny the entire time they were in the QT every feeding she would go to the bottom and push him up to eat. Since they are in the pond she doesn't. They stay right together. She use to rule the pond. I guess she has to gain rank back :lol:

I have confidence that she will rule the pond again!!! Fish are funny that way. People who don't think they have personalities don't spend enough time observing their fish.

Jackie Cinn is back to herself in the pond. I think what she was doing is sucking up all the algae around the plants :lol: Her and Remmy both happy they can eat now. Of course Cinn is making up for lost time :smile:

I have sad news on Cinn (the fantail goldfish) :cry: I came home Tuesday to do a water change and couldn't find Cinn. Rem had been acting funny again because the temps dropped. He was fine. I jumped in the pond and found Cinn wedged between two pots. She was all bruised. I picked her up and she took 2 breaths and died in my hands. Needless to say I was totally heartbroken!! I don't know if she was bruised from flailing or maybe she spawned again and Rem wedged her and bruised her up. I moved all the pots close to the liner now! No fish can get back there any more. Of course the Koi are too big to get behind them. Cinn couldn't back up. It was a sad day.

Pam, I am sad to know of poor Cinnimon. I know you blame yourself but really it isn't your fault. Fish get into all kinds of trouble and one can't sit by the pond all day to guard them. I'm glad that you have fixed the problem, one less thing to worry about.

Cinnamon, I am so sorry to hear of your loss :( . It's hard to loose them, like Jackie said don't beat yourself up about it, things happen that are out of our control at times. You've moved the pots and that's helpful, and maybe they did spawn and you'll see little ones to replace her.
