Now is the time of year you will see these plants for sale in the better flower shops. I've had this one for 8 or so years now. Easy low light plant that blooms in March. This one was in the greenhouse and froze earlier and I thought the two blooms that froze would be it. Five more blooms have appeared and to enjoy it I've moved it inside.

oooowwee that's really pretty. Do they require down time like an amaryllis?

No, just regular water and the best part is they are low light plants. Like to be root bound so no constant repotting either. Mind I do think mine will have to be repotted this summer before it breaks the pot.

Pretty plant! Saw one just the other day, but not it bloom..should of asked how much :grin:

Do they all bloom orange?

There is a yellow one but its rare to find. Orange is the common one and not cheap to buy but easy easy to care for and the blooms last for weeks and weeks. This one just keeps getting better.
