It was 94 degrees today in my fish house. My Detura (spelling?) big trumpet flowers is in full bloom and the Koi are hungry, hungry, hungry.
If it keeps up this way, i'll need to put the shade cloth on in March. This is an unheated greenhouse by the way....lol

Here is a couple of shots from my pond last year. I will hopefully get a lot better at taking pics of the pond and plants next year.

Ahhh another smarty pants huh Dayleen:razz: BC..which part of Canada is that? Above Washington, that area? 94! I was happy when it said 70 in mine today...it's coming, slowly but surely..at least we're getting more daylight which equals MORE SUN!!
Our ponds are pretty similar Ron, except you have bigger lilies!!
Terri...mine take a beating from lack of care..by the time I get home, the last thing I want to do is water..

Gas Plant, I'd have to look up the latin name but a NA native and adds value to any garden.

Mmm gas plants are wonderful but they are hard to grwo and hard to establish and don't like to be moved. I'll give you seeds in the fall if you stillwant to try. This plant was 5 years before it bloomed but the scent is wonderful as are the seedheads and foliage.

Wow all these pictures are simply gorgeous. Can't wait to see it for real. Terri, are you useing a Macro lens, cause your shots are so close. I have one for my Canon AE1, but can't use it, my son took my camera with him duck hunting to get some black and whites for photo class a few years ago. Put the camera in the bottom of the boat, but forgot to put the plug in the boat and the camera got wet and fried it. As of yet haven't replaced it, but sure miss the great pictures I use to get with all my lenses.

Busy,
Yes, lower BC in the Okanagan Valley....kinda the California of Canada. Having said that though....the last 2 winters we have had -30 and a ton of snow....now we are in t-shirts and some people in shorts...it's not THAT warm.
Hey....i'm a Yukon girl....i wear t-shirts all winter, maybe a windbreaker. In minus 30 i might get a heavier jacket on like my leather one....lol Some people think i'm nuts. My husband who is from Holland hates the cold and is always whinning about it. Now he's worn on me and i hate it too.
Seriously thinking about moving to Phoenix in 10 years.
Your pics are really something !!!
