Hi everyone,

Anyone who knows me - knows I am a very bad when it comes to putting my thoughts in type form. My grammer, spelling and ramblings on - makes it hard to follow me at times - oh ok - most of the time. :-P lol

So when it comes to typing I am not the fastest guy on the block either LOL

And getting logged off when I go to post a response is a pain in the - best not go there lol - It is more of a pain when you lose all you typed and have to retype it all - if you choose to.

So If I may ask to understand - why is some forums faster on logging one off then others?

And for anyone else who has the problem of being logged off and losing what you had typed.

Try this:
Make sure you highlight your response, then Copy it, before you try to send it.

That way should you get logged off - You only have to log back in - go back to the place you were last and then paste in what you wanted to spend in the first place. And you don't need to retype it all over again.

Been there done that

Hope that is helpful to others who might walk the same path...

Tony, I haven't had that problem and I will wonder off and go into the garden for a half hour or so while posting, or answer the phone etc sometimes its an hour or so before I hit the reply button. The board always accepts my reply although I've been technically logged off after 14 or 15 minutes of inactivity.

Many folks use their word processor to reply so they can spell check etc then cut and paste the reply into the thread. Similar to what you suggested just another way to do it.
