Just recently finished last spring. Ian's thinking of cutting the deck on an angle so the view is better... when he can find time.

We had a crappy summer, very few "hot" days and more rain than I felt was necessary LOL We had 15 koi in here for 2 months. Volume 7500 gallons.

Hey Jackie,
Why did I just get a thumbnail pic?

Good question Chuck??? Hmm same happened to me.... Usualy when you post one pic you get the full pic and if you post several you get a thumbnail. When you click the thumbnail you get the big picture.

Yup, I found that out. Just curious why some were big and others were thumbnails. Works great thought, just like the other board. Good job all.

Hi Chuck :-) The full sized images I posted are not attachments they are linked images from another web site using the IMG code. All attachments here will come up as thumbnails.

Pond shortly after I had finished it. Well almost finished, as some plants were still looking for a new home. :D

Pond at the beginning of the second season testing the new: settling/holding tank, two retro BDs and my own inpond design skimmer, a long with the new bog area.

If you look close behind the waterdfall and to the right you can see the new cedar sidewalk that covers the settling/holding tank. Also if you look at the lower left of and you are able to spot the corkscrew plant and the flat rock just behind it - is where my DIY own design of an in pond skimmer is located.

Close up of turtle spitting in to his own lil pond which is located in the lower left hand corner of the pond. Anyone who comes to visit will have to walk by him as he lets them know "SEE I AM ABLE TO DO WHAT THE WATERFALL BEHIND ME IS DOING" so there. :)

Winnie the Pooh under the Canna Lillie leaf, in the new bog area, taking a break from the summer sun.

That was the end of last year Marla..I tried to tie in the pond with the ghouse pad of gravel so I covered the back part of the yard with typar and gravel...made a small dry creek and the rock around the pond. I know it's the dreaded rock necklace but it works for me. I don't have time to weed and fuss so I cut holes in the excess liner or typar and planted junipers and sedums...It doesn't look that pretty now :-(

Busy, that's what I was hoping. Otherwise I'd want to move to Alaska and then I'd have to put up with them there bears, and it's bad enough they are down in Illinois
