I need to get in the pond and pinch some of the pads off, getting a few too many for my likings.

Jackie, hope you enjoy.......

Thanks for looking!

First a mixture of blooms:

As you can see, no progress on the finishing landscaping.

Breathtaking Bonnie I love Midnight. I assume its is that very dark blue/purple one in the overview picture. Makes my paultry collection pitiful

Mind I have not enough places to put the lilies. I don't want them to block the skimmer so I took out a huge white one and of course they don't like the waterfall and I don't want them where I feed the fish as I like to see the fish... I've got to get the second pond in!!! Too bad its shady there so choices will be limited.

How deep are yours planted?

Thank you Jackie and Terri!

I love Midnight also, it's my first year with it. Been a very good bloomer! I'm going to send with 2 other tropicals to my "little" brother in FL for him to overwinter it for me and resend me a start next spring. He'd better not kill them, heck I can do that !

Jackie, The waterlilies are planted at different depths, from 18 inches to 3 ft. average.
The bigger lilies usually are the ones that are in deeper water.

The one I removed was at the 3.5- 4 ft level and was a very good bloomer. Same white I have now, just a biger piece of it. Maybe I should try something deeper, most of mine are at 18 inches now so I could use the next shelf down....

Bonnie, your pond is so beautiful, even if you haven't finished, makes mine look so unfinnished. Didn't think you could grow lillies that deep, maybe I'll try next year. The one I really wanted to get this year I was to late on ordering, maybe next year. At least that many lillies would hide the blasted algae I have  Fantastic pics thanks for sharing

Marla, no hiding your light under a basket here, you have a lovely pond and should be very proud of it.

Don't get me wrong, I love my pond and am proud of it, just I see the others and still see potential, in the surrounding area. Having a large yard actually makes it a bit harder to blend it in to the area. But I will get there, but it may have to include another pond or addition to the existing one.

Marla, it takes time and certainly the pond looks part of the landscape from the pictures. But a second pond is always nice!! Mine is still in the planning stages...
