Just a couple of shots of the pond mutts pigging out tonight. A cold front has moved through and although it didn't bring us the rain we need it did drop the temps. Fish seemed to really appreciate it.

That fish food stealer is called Skipper. He is my constant companion whether I want him underfoot or not, right now he is sleeping on my foot to make sure if I move he will know. He is 11.5 years old and seems to be following his sister Amber into deafness and blindness. Like one blind dead dog in the house wasn't enough!!! Maybe he is jealous of the attention she gets !rofl

In the scond picture you can really see GG's broken tail. It seems to be growing back but oh so slowly.

You're scaring me Jackie...

I wonder what I'm going to do when the time comes when my fish are as big as yours

I understand she's on her way to doing that. Maybe these pics will show Busy the plans aren't big enough unless you want to do it again!!!

In the first pic you can see Elf the gagoi with GG, he's almost her size... actually his an inch short of Tweet but I expect he will be longer than that by end of summer. Doesn't have Tweets bulk yet but I'm sure that will come and then I'll be needing a bigger pond!!! !wow!

Jackie, how long did it take you to get them to eat out of your hands? It looks like they are happy and healthy also.

What I really like is you took the time to do your nails before feeding them. That color goes very well with the color of the koi.

Tom, my fish have been eating out of my hands or trying to eat my fingers for so long I forget how long it took to get them to do it. A couple of weeks I think. I have 3 who do not come to hand but cirlce around like they might. GG the big butterfly and her daughter are the best hand feeders, they don't care about other noises or what is being offered if the hand is in or near the water they are there to see what's up.

Very few pellets and patience. Nothing like hunger to motivate them. If that doesn't work shirmp usually does.
