Went to Portland Wed and found a couple of nice Shushui to add some color for the pond this year. Still, I'd like a Hi Utsuri to go along, lol!
There's a notation on my sale recept that say's Suda 04 ?? I know they are tosai? Think thats right, correct me if I'm wrong....
The smaller guy/girl there is right at allmost fearless, looks like its gonna be a hand feeder, 6" and the bigger one is around 8" - good size for a yearling I think at this point. :) I've named the larger of the two Padparascha, after the infamouse Saphire, lol!

What cute faces. They'll give some action to the pond.

tai,
the shoes look fine. White noses are important, with a white nose they could get the preferred white head. No white nose, no chance at a white head.
as for scalation which is waAaaaAaay up the must have things. give us better pics.

Luke are you saying bowl them for a pic? I don't have a koi bowl (yet !rofl ) but I was thinking I might try that with a large white bowl I have later on. Who knows, I may find something usable around town for a good small/med koi bowl. Wow, when I picked the larger one it was because of the white face, lol! There was one just about a inch bigger, but I felt too much red and very little blue, so thought that one might turn all red eventually. I must admit to being still naive on some things where "looks" are concerned and what to look for....
Wish you guys could have seen the tank with the two year olds, there was some high class butterfly's. A Showa _to die for_ and a Kohaku I could say I actually liked, and very nice Hi Utsuri.. That Showa was so very awesome I can't get it outa my mind! (yeah, the only thing stopping me is the hubby...the price tag was a bit much for him to stomach lol!)
TY Cin & Jackie! I do have good thought's for these two. I'll make sure I keep photo's going as they progress and update.
So does anyone know what that notation (suda04) is? is it the breeder?

Suda is one of the few Japanese breeders doing Flutterby Koiz.
He is good.
Suda.. May 2004 spawn
Name the other on Isis.. Goddess of the dark, dead, underworld, whatever.
Longfin, Indonesian Carp Hybrids are EVIL.. pure evil...

Tai? What the hell is a high class butterfly? Is that like Jumbo shrimp?

 Luke, if it was a SF, I'm betting the price tag would have tripled. So yeah, jumbo shrimp! !rofl I can honestly say I now know what the white should be like on a Showa..... Pure Chrystal Clean Snow! *sigh*
Swamp, forgive me my longfin fixation, but then again, I'm such a evil person so having evil fish I guess is my forte`! But then again, I'm also known as a dragon, so having dragon fish just seems to go! !rofl
Isis would be a good name for a Black Koi or a ghost koi. I'll have to keep that in mind! Must have a black koi ala longfin.....

Did some one say Jumbo Shrimp!!! GG will fit that bill, and I will admit she has an evil heart when it comes to eating lilies

I like your babies T! Wouldn't bother me that they are longfins
Portland huh? At least you have an option of buying some nice fish close by.
I bought a blue bucket (they used to call them muckbuckets) with the rope handles. Next best thing to a koi bowl ...local Home D.

TY Busy! I'll have to have a look see then next time I go to Salem.
Jackie, LOL, GG looks like she needs a nice shrimp treat!
Speaking of Lily's, my white ones have buds and almost open......

My white one is on its 3rd flower now but everthing else is a long way away from doing much of anything.
GG will take your arm at the elbow for shrimp!!!

Ow! GG sounds like a loan shark! The interest is high, charges a arm and a leg!
Mine are goofy this year. The smallest one I started last year has a bloom, the one that didn't bloom last year has two, the one that bloomed last year as nothing. All the colored ones are still nothing either!
Sun? Whats sun? Someone stole summer here!

We're having more than summer here!! No rain until yesterday now of course thunderstorms dropping tons of rain just as I'm rebuilding the bog... standing out in the pouring rain building a dike is not my idea of a good time. Still worth it as no runoff made it to the pond.

That wouldn't be my idea of fun either! :( There's so much I want to get done outside and the rain has just kept coming and even hubby is saying he's tired of it, enough already!

Here we are having opposite weather and neither of us pleased. We've finally moved back to spring - much too late for the spring flowers - so I can go out and attack the weeds which seemed to thrive in the heat and humidity. Hoping your weather finally breaks.
