I had to take these guys or they were going to be put to death.
The best I could come up with was a galvanized tub and a pool liner so I have to keep this outside until I can get it all patched up (it's leaking condensation between the liner and the tub not sure that would be good for my carpet if it kept doing that in here even if it *is* already thrashed).

Two clown knife fish:

The smaller clown knife and a jack dempsey:

Isis what are we going to do with you! LOL

I hope they do well for you, Dempsy's are quite handsome when full grown and more than a handful (but you now that).

I put a peice of pvc in there for the knives about two weeks ago. Poor dempsey clocked itself pretty hard this morning and I almost spit out my coffee into the tank. It's only funny because it's avoided until today.

The clowns are in the 12"ish range and the Dempsey is about 8"ish. I got a baby Oscar to be it's buddy *maybe* we'll see how they get along if at all when I get their tank set up and the baby is a bit bigger (another 75 gallon stock tank).

I've been sweating bullets the past two days because the only heater I had is glass and we had a small cold snap so I had to put it in there.

Terri,
If you have any tips on lining my living room and filling it with water lmk . That's about the point I'm at now with the rescues (I could have built one divided tank but now it's a huge tank with no dividers except flowthrough to keep my bichirs from getting eaten and I have to keep all the stock tanks)...

I'm going to build them a 480 indoor then I'll still have two 75 gallon stock tanks (one community, one cichlids) and a 40 gallon brackish plus all the little tanks.

I'm also adding 300 gallons to the pond (chaining in another jacuzzi) which will still be too small but more comfortable I'm sure.

You might try a fiberglass stock tank with the liner in it. It will not sweat like a galvanized one. I don't know where you live but here in Texas they are plentiful. A ton of ranchers are switching to them. Good Luck!

I was just going to gator gard it. It was sweating between the liner and the tank. Since I had to use a pvc endcap it was leaking out the galvy elbow.
