Well I spent my day on the phone and replying to emails... with a few water changes in between.... But I did take a few pictures this weekend. Jackie the plants you gave me last year are triple the size and several have spread! **thank you thank you!**

Gorgeous Jackie and Terri. Still not to much in bloom here. My lilacs that froze out last year are blooming porfusely, and the lilly of the valley are just opening. Long wait for my peonies, and clematis yet.

Terri that first pic of the Iris looks like Audrey II in the Little Shop of Horrors
Marla, the Alpina clematis group bloom very early and need to be pruned just for shape. Willie is another very nice one as is Blue Bird. They have the big seedheads after as well. Worth having in the northern garden. My other clematis will be a long time coming. Lily of the valley haven't opened as yet.

I meant to mention that that the clematis was beautiful!
Marla our lilacs haven't even begun ot leaf out yet LOL but the apple trees are in full bloom and the smell is amazing!!
Look what I found, or I should say Ian did, out in the wooded area of our property...

Jackie... YOU have the green thumb, mine is just green tinged!
Wish I could grow clematis , I know there are some that take a little heat as long as their feet are in the shade.
I don't know how you guys stand the winter temps but when spring is that beautiful ....
Temps here are in the high 80'a low 90's, but June brings cloudy weather before the summer heat hits

Terri, didn't I give you a sprig of that clematis last year? Hope I didn't dig up my blue bird by mistake  Hmmm, maybe I should bring my shovel next time I visit, only have one small red trillium, the rest got left at the last house. Reminds me I have to move the ones at front before the sweet woodruff eats them for breakfast.
Charla you need to look and the Florida series of clematis. I can't grow them here but they are stunning. One is white with purple stamens, I lust for it but it would not be hot enough here for it. OK went and got my book... Clematis florida 'Sieboldii' - almost looks like a passion flower and there is 'Alba Plena with greenish white blooms. Also I have a friend in Florida who grows Sweet Autumn so it should surivive for you as well.

Thank you. It certainly felt good to get out and get dirty again today. I'm thankful that the garden was jump started but wonder where the gained time went to...
Moving plants from where the new pond will be. Probably won't get installed until fall though. Just too much work to be done on other things.

Naww really? You into flowers?
I'm amazed that alot of your stuff is in full flower...my bleeding hearts are just barely breaking the surface. Only thing that looks like it wants to bloom here are the anemones and bergenia.
You lucky duck you..

I'll have to take some pics of the front flowers. The one set of anenomes is finished but the next set is now in full bloom. Do you grow the 'Sylvestry' there? Wonderful ground cover with flowers now and then again in fall.

Not that I know of...someone gave me some and I have no idea what flavor other than anemones.

The first Anemones are often called windlfowers
The next to bloom are sylvestry and then the big Japanese anemones in the fall.
For some reason my computer is not co operating so I can't post pics of the 3 groups...
