Yes a Koi Pond "can have a bog"

Lot of Koi Ponders feel they should not have plants in their ponds and only Koi. And they would never have a bog as part of their pond. Well there might be one or two who would. LOL

However if the bog area is built right even a KOI pond can have a bog that will "NOT" allow the soil and or the water which went from the pond into the bog to return back into the pond.

I for one think most "PONDS", or at least those that have a natural setting/look, be it a Koi Pond or just a water garden, should have plants and even a "BOG AREA".

Now maybe not Formal Ponds and Raised Ponds that don't have a natural setting as it could look out of place. But a natural looking "KOI POND" could and should have plant life to help keep that natural setting and feel.

So for you KOI PONDERS take a peek at this:

Even PVC can be used in the same way I used rocks and moss to provent water and soil from the bog entering back into your "KOI POND"

Some thing to think about. Hope you enjoy!!
