Very pretty, too late for narcissus, daffodils etc here, I'm planting petunias and marigolds this weekend I think. The Shasta dasies, iris and cannas are doing their thing.

Jackie, nice pics. For some odd reason lots of my tulips did not come up, and those that did are real late bloomers. Good thing my husband isn't up by you, he'd have a hay day torching all your last years dead stuff. Hates it, I try to beat him to it and rake it up, otherwise he burns it.

Marla, he can't torch it here, this is downtown  Some days I'd like to torch it myself but instead we politely bundle it for the city to take away. Actually I should see if I have pics of before I cut it all down... then you could post it on the fridge so he can see how neat you keep the yard. My bleeding hearts are a couple of weeks away from your blooms I think. I do love them and found yet another baby that needs a home... Good job I have Terri to foist all my unwanted plants onto.

Almost time to split this one, I'll probably put it in the new garden pond. Both mine are in very sunny protected areas, and bloom fairly early.

Beautiful Jackie!
Is the first pix a Pasque Flower plant ?
Charla
Half of my tulips and daffodils didn't bloom this year either.

Yes Bonnie a pasque or often called a windflower anemone. I'm sad because I had 3 colours, this one, a red and a white.. but seems only this one survived. They hate to have their roots disturbed and the creeping charlie got in there late last year. Guess I dug too deep.

Beautiful pics! I am sure glad Spring has found it's way up North! I was about to feel bad. I snapped a couple of pics today of my Peacock Orchids and My Purple Cone flower aka Echinacea. The only thing that is not growing very well is our grass :( We usually have to mow once a week at this time of year. Not this year so far. We are once again dipping down to the 40s at night. We set records for the last 2 weeks on the low temps. This morning it was 45 F and Wed morning is going to be 46 F. Actually having a Spring is sending plants and people in shock ! !rofl

Gosh Pam you have the same weather as us, except we are also having ice pellets... on the 2nd of May!!! Melting as they hit but disgusting anyway.

It is a good thing that the grass is behind regarding growing. With all the construction that has been going on the past year, I think the grass is afraid to grow. I haven't been complaining though. I do keep the areas around the predominant feeders mowed however. I don't care for any sudden surprises while refilling them for we do have snakes. !wow!
We have good snakes that keep the bad ones under control. Pam's motto is that the only good snake is a dead snake. No, the good snakes are the ones that eat the snakes that eat KOI. !bonk
....working a late one this evening.
I'd rather be working out at the KOI pond.
Progress is happening. We are finally at the point where we are completing the little details and filling in the final missing pieces here and there. Cleanup after the rebuild has been incredible. Amazing how much of a mess you can make building these. Have we mentioned that we have Dk Green floors and matching carpeting? :(
Well..... back to reality here.
Catch you later.
Jackie.... what is the proper way to clip the blooms on the lillies after they expire?

Rem, I just reach down and tug them and hope the entire stem breaks off... normally it doesn't but perhaps BonnieIN will jump in here and edjumicate us all
I know all about renovations... I'm the reno queen, if I don't have drywall dust in my lungs I become unhappy, or so says hubby.
