When DH came home tonight I asked if he was going to make me a DIY pond vac or if I should order one. He asked about the Pondvac 2 and I told him the spec's and without fussing (or cussing) he said, Yep order it!
WEBBSONLINE.COM has a price match policy and beat AZPONDS listed price, so they offered it for sale at $246.90 with free shipping!
I hope that this is as good as everyone says, I haven't heard anything but good reviews on it.
Does anyone have any tips, etc. that I should know about this vac?
Wish me luck,
Bonnie

Geez Bonnie, I was sure someone here would have some input for you... I don't as we've never used a pond vac. BUT, I too have heard good things about the Pondvac 2.
Python also makes a pretty good pondvac, but I believe it's geared towards ponds under 1000gallons.

I read about the guy who bought one at ADI's...seems like he's sold. Is that what helped you make your decision?

Busy, I've been checking for sometime now because last year I purchased the shop vac w/ built in pump and for the big pond it just don't do the job.
Or should I say, I don't want to take all day vacuuming the pond! :-x
On AWGS, AS and KP I've only heard ONE person that had it that said she didn't like it soooo I thought I would go for it!
I do know that I wish it would pump and suck at the same time but what I've read it only takes approx. 25 sec to empty.
I'm sure it's not a perfect pond vac but for the money it sounds decent.
I should receive it this week so I'll keep you all updated!

Well at the price of it, it had better work. A koi club member is going to lend me his pond vac, not sure the name brand as he didn't like it. I'll try it and if I like it I will buy it from him. It was a water pressure issue, not sure I have enough water pressure either. I often thought of building the waterbug designs pond vac, but truly am just not handy that way.
