I just wanted to apologize to you all, and on behalf of Tom as well, for the recent outage,... unfortunately the sever was maliciously hacked two weekends ago with a denial of service protocol sent sever wide. This didn't just shut down Koi Reflections but all web sites hosted on this server - many of those are charity organizations and small businesses.
Unfortunately we lost several threads, those started in January up to two weeks ago.... bright side - that is better than losing all boards content. If you started a thread and can't seem to find it please feel free to start a new one.
I also want to apologize to the members who we have 'lost',... unfortunately they don't seem to be listed :(
The last forum data back up (this happens automatically) was before these members joined.
So, if you are one of those who wasn't carried over from the outage please re-register, I will be watching for you and do my best to promptly have you authorized.
There are steps being put into place to deter this from happening again - to any of the web sites I administer. Tom, for all his knowledge and dedication to running his own server is no longer able to keep it up for personal reasons. So with his guidance and help this is what it about to happen....
Over the next 24/48 hrs you might not be able to reach the board for a short period of time... as it is being moved - yet again - to another server. An acquaintance of mine, Chris works for Lowes Hardware chain and is their server administrator nation3wide, with another acquaintance, Greg as his assistant. Chris is setting up server space for Backyard Puddle and Koi Reflections - along with my other sites. There will be redundant RAID backups and a vastly more superior server knowhow with these two gentlemen... and the cost is very reasonable.
