Want sparkling water - Try this filter out, you won't be disappointed!

I made mine more or less the same adding a gate valve at the bottom connected to a 2" ABS pipe that runs fully across bottom of filter inside with half cuts from the table saw for drainage (this way no stones can pass through pipe). I topped off an additional layer (200 lbs!) of crushed oyster shell (chicken grit) which you can find at any feed store. This filter is awesome!!

PS: Poordaddy didn't purchase a spa blower for cleaning, I just flush mine a few times and that seems to do the trick!

Post your filter and its set up., Then I can bug someone to help me build it. I am good at grunt work but small stuff and cuts not so good. Strong like bull, smart like streetcar:banghead:
