I loved that raised pond. So much easier to feed the fish and to see them a little closer. Everyone looks good after the winter.
Did you run the Bakki shower allwinter?

jackie yes i ran the shower all winter no problem the only thing i done different was put some jap matting on the top to keep leaves and stuff out.

What are your low temps there. I'm wondering because you covered the pond for winter but ran the shower which should have cooled the water. Maybe one thing compensates for the other.

That's gotta feel good to get the cover off  ...I don't see any of that white stuff that is still covering my yard..
Is your cover made with greenhouse covering or are you using plastic...would that work as a solar heat collector of sorts?

hi all
jackie with the wind chill we can get minus 4or5c the shower with the cover round it and the jap mat on top i only noticed a drop in temp from surface to mid pond of half a deg.
busyb the covers are poly carb sheet i think it is what they use on conservatorys it like double glazing.
terri we dont get extreme cold it drops to about 3 to 0 c its the wind chill of the sea.
a couple of pics.
as of yet the only one i have mesured recently is the assagi its 19inch.
