Wellthe fish sure seemed hunry this morning so I offered them a strawberry cut up in pieces. The were certainly disappointed with this offering and although it looks like they are eating it, they spat it out  Where's the shrimp????

Yes, this year they held their colour, last year they were pale coming out from under the ice.

No regrets now, you chose which chagoi to part with. He certainly is a wonderful fish. Next time the kids come by they can visit with him.

At a quick glance he is 3rd largest in the pond after Tweet and GG. I expect by end of summer he will be the big boy of the pond.

Let me know when Taylor wants to come by. Skipper is always looking for a playmate.

Yes, they certainly do look plump for fish that haven't been fed for 6 months. Pays to have lots of algae I guess !rofl

Jackie they look great! Seeing them makes me believe my babies will grow up one day! They are already growing! I am feeding them twice a day now. I feed them pellets and an orange in the morning. Then around 2 they get broccoli and another orange. They still act starving. But I guess that is fish isn't it?

Sometimes we don't really notice how quickly our fish are growing because we see them everyday. I've never bothered to take pics of them to measure but I see the attraction to it now. Just watching Terri's butterflys grow with Tweet this winter has been amazing. When they went in they were so tiny, we were concerned he may eat them by mistake but now they push him around
