This pic is of a ceramic koi I got a few days ago at Target. They have a new section in the store called the world bazzar, and these are in the Japan section. They are a little over 12" long and 7" tall and only cost $9.99. I have looked for them for weeks and they finally came in.

Wow that is cool! Good price too!

I used to drag home bee stuff (go figure) and now I'm attracted to fish stuff

Are you putting it by the pond?

I've found with ceramics they have to be taken inside in the winter as they don't like the elements. Still should be a lovely addition to your pond.

I thought about taking them out by the pond, but I was worried that they would get broken. Plus I cleaned off the top of my entertainment center and they look really good up there.

I am bidding on a koi scroll painting on eBay that I am going to hang down here in my family room too.. I think I am goind Kichi.

He's cute!! They even got the barbels in. A blue koi, sure to be a winner at the show.

Jackie that is exactly why I looked so long for these guys. They are the only ceramic koi I have seen with barbells. When looking at koi art I won't buy if they don't have barbells, cuz then they are just gold fish or shubbies.

Or half breeds !rofl

I noticed as the barbels are the very devil to put in the clay so that they show in my tiles. These being poured molds are easier but its nice they remembered that important detail.

Speaking of your tiles... I remember the thread from KP and you did an excellent job and can feel free to come over and do my kitchen anytime... :)

The table is finished. As a matter of fact Smith just varnished the Art Deco table so it is almost finished as well. Will post some pics later.
