I have 2 - 55 gal barrels in which I will use as filters.
The first will be a vortex for large debris, followed by the 2nd which will consist of bio media and furnace matting for filtration.
Questions I have are:
- should I install the output water flow from 2nd barrel to pump from the bottom, or on the side, about 3/4 of the way down?
-can I use a 2 inch shower drain with pvc pipe to go to pump? Or, do I need to keep the 4 inch output, then reduce to 2 inch to pump?
I tried the DIY links, but I dont see anything that would answer my questions.
