View Full Version : 5 days off and I hurt my back on day 4
Cleaned out the pumps this morning and did the usual water change. Not sure what exactly did it, but my back went out. No muscle spasms thank goodness, just walking pretty lopsided and can't get comfortable period. Haven't done this in a while, and I wish the pleasure had been indefinately postponed. :HAHA: At least I don't have to go back to work until Wednesday. Hubby calls me Moses as I walk up the yard with a big stick for support. :HAHA: He's lucky I can't move fast enough at the moment to slap him upside the head. :boxing:

 sorry to hear Cindy .. how long is that stick !bonk :HAHA:
Have not had the pleasure of hurting my back, knock on wood I never do. Did pull my bicep(sp?) muscle in my right arm a few weeks back netting a fish, man that hurt ... thankfully Ian was around to help out.

Ouch, I know the feeling well, I have old fractures and missing discs both in my neck and lower back. Pulled mine last doing a cleanout right before our pond show. Not something nice, do you see a chiropractor, physical theropist or accupuncturest. All are very helpful (I have not done the accupucture, I'm chicken but I heard it works well. Take it easy, get on the floor and stretch.

You need to get on the floor and stretch Marla. I hate putting my back out and sometimes its just how you turn. There are two things I can not do because of my back, ride a bicycle and push a wheel barrel. Both move that balance section of my back that don't work so good. Smith bought me a bike a couple of years ago, I rode it for a half hour and couldn't walk for aweek. Gave it to my niece. Should have taken it back but thought once my back is better.... Nope as soon as I pushed off I was immediately sorry. Never rode again.
So rest and stretch my dear, take it easy, you are on vacation!!!! :alright:
Thanks everybody, much better today. Still not great, but I don't need the stick to walk anymore.
Back to work today, fortunately I don't work Fridays, so it's a 2 day work week, I think I can cope. :HAHA:
