Tropical Storm Erin brought us a little relief from our scorching 100+F temps! My pond was getting up to 88F in the shade! We received a little rain but the best thing is the storm dropped temps from 100+ to 90! YEA!
Now all eyes on the Gulf. We will see by Monday where Hurricane Dean might traverse. Everyone around here are already making plans except us. We are still debating whether we will go or not. We have some time to think about it!

I was thinking of you last night watching the news with the two storms. Glad the first one only flooded Houston and not you. We had a cold front move in last night but it brought no rain, its dry as dust here I hope Erin heads this way with some moisture left.
Play safe with Dean, a little honeymoon away won't hurt you two.

Yea but YOU know how I worry about my fish. If we had bought a generator as we had planned we wouldn't have to worry. We could run my shop off a generator and run the a/c. We could live out there! hahaha Heiko said he may take me and come back. He has to be here for work soon after. I have to have a/c or I get sick. We will see :) Not planning anything until we know for sure it is heading this way

Darlin, fish love water, they will be fine. Lower the pond before you go, give it a good dose of baking soda, they will be fine. Even if the power goes off, healthy fish will survive.

Yea they survived Rita! No problems at all. And I was gone almost 2 weeks. We have talked about it now. If it does come this way we will evacuate probably to Austin. Buy a generator then come back and clean up what is left. Heck they don't know where it is going yet!

See I remember that. No need to panic but one should be prepared. Hopefully it will pass you by or peter out before it gets there. Doesn't seem so but one can always hope.
