Nope, no Benigoi here... a couple of midorigoi though(who have been a disappointment as to growth)
rll, they are nice, both look to have good shape and even colour. What prompted you to add this variety to your collection?
I've seen large Benigoi and they have great presence (can really can stand). out

Ogons are metallic and fall under the Hikarimono classification. Hikari means metallic and Mono meaning one colour.
Benigoi fall under the classification of Kawarimono. These are non-metallic koi that don't seem to have a place under other classifications. Basically the Benigoi is a single coloured RED koi. Aka-mugi is also a non-metallic red koi but the Benigoi has a much deeper red to the Aka's orange/red, and as I understand it there should be no white on the fish. If there is white on the fin tips then it would be classified as a Aka Hajiro.

I should get some new pics of that koi :-D
Terri,
The gobies are doing great. They started begging for worms finally. Since I added the hob filter they eat the bloodworms too. They ate a whole batch of molly fry (which is why the mollies are there but I thought for sure I'd find more than one baby..)
