Was out playing with the camera today trying to get bird pics and took these of the Orioles and a few other critters and plants.

Darn you - you're an artist with a camera, as well! If I didn't like you so much, I'd hate you! Gorgeous pics, Jackie - especially the sixth one! :yesyes:

Jackie, you outdo yourself constantly!! I need a camera like that. Nice to see an Oriole, I don't often see them here. And a black squirel, go figure, you have all the interesting wildlife by you.

Thank you Lynda, long ago I used to do nice pictures, just picking it up again with a good camera. It makes a huge difference.

Marla, black squirrels are like rats with fuzzy tails here.... they are everywhere. There were two families of orioles though. Nice to see the new generation is coming back.

Very nice pics Jackie. I love the maltese cross....never had any luck growing them. I'm with you on the squirrels. Hardly had any at my house when we moved in over 20 years ago....now we have loads, black and grey. Doesn't stop me from feeding them in the winter though
I don't know how many I'll have hanging around this winter, Baxter is the first dog I've had who likes to chase them :)

I got the seeds for this Maltese cross from my aunt. Its a large plant about 5 ft tall and blooms all summer. I'll collect seeds for any who are interested. I also have the smaller orange version but it isn't as vigorous as this one.

Buddy and Skipper are great squirrel chasers. Doesn't stop them from coming to the feeder. Years ago my other two toy poodles trapped and killed a squirrel. Skipper is a good mouser.... :yesyes:

Not easy to catch a squirrel, must have been a good little hunting team. Our last dog Yogi wouldn't catch anything, but if the big outdoor stray caught a vole and dropped it by the house for us to see, Yogi would eat it

Amber and Domino showed their wolf heritage acting as a pack to hunt. They only killed one but caught many. Good job squirrels are designed to lose their tails. Only time Domino ever bit me was when I tried to take her mouse. She was a better mouser than Skip and he's pretty good.

I have lots more, just need to resize the darn things. The old camera took a low enough setting that I could shot and post, those days are over but I will admit the pics are much much better.
