Gotta love the June garden, loads of stuff comes into bloom. Half of my 70 rose bushes will be in bloom this weekend. Poppies are starting and loads of buds, the globeflowers have been blooming all week, they had to be moved last year when we enlarged the pond and they seem to love their new location. Peonies will be out this week too and all of them are loaded with buds. Hardy geraniums are in full bloom now, most of mine bloom all summer.
Here's just a few pics of some rose buds, poppies and globeflowers.

Lovely cindy. Hard to believe that just a couple of weeks ago we were yelling at our plants to grow now I'm saying slow down I don't have time to enjoy you!!!

This heat is going to knock the poppies out fast. Too bad, but they won't last in this.

I know my tree peony had dinner plate blooms but they only lasted 3 days in this heat.

Love the pink poppy. My oranges are done already and the whites are just about done, sad they don't last long. I also am amazed at what a couple weeks of warm weather has done for the garden, flowers look great. Now I just need to get the veggies in. Have a lot of voulenteer raddishes coming up all over the garden, time to pick them and plant the rest of the veggies.

The tree peony blooms are gone now but here is a pic taken in full regatta, sad that the heat knocked it down so quickly on cool days it will bloom for 2 weeks, not 3 days

Jackie, do they have a wonderful scent like a lot of peonies. I just love those flowers, I have just the regular peonies though, not the tree forms, (mind you most of them are almost as tall as me anyway, (but that happens when you're 5 foot 1), the scent is wonderful and they have the big blousy flowers too. What a shame that the heat kocked those out so fast. Do they hold up their blooms better than the regular peonies if they get wet? Mine have just started opening their buds, so I'm hoping the cooler weather this week will help them last a little while.

They are not scented but do hold up on their woody stems so much better than regular peonies. I cut a few of those today to scent the house. My peonies smell the way roses should smell and seldom do. For some reason my peonies are incrediably tall this year. I can see they need dividing yet again.

I've never divided my peonies, I didn't think they liked it. Mine are huge this year too, really tall, only the white one has opened up so far.
A whack of roses are out now too and all of mine are highly scented. If they have no scent, they don't get allowed into the club. :)
Early morning and at dusk the scent is very heavy in the yard.....I can't resist planting them everywhere....even the roses are extremely tall this year.

I'm waiting for the honeysucle to bloom. I've had to remove a lot of it as one could not sit out side it was so over powering

i have buds but no blooms yet on the roses but frankly was too busy weeding today to see any of the garden. If I don't get at least two double armful of weeds out everyday I'm behind and judging by the armsful today I am soooo far behind.

The rains have done my large peony in and quite a few other plants also. No time for pictures lately to busy working.
