We will be moving to Athens Georgia the end of June.
Anyone interested in a two bedroom home at a golf and ski resort in Hazleton Pa with a spray liner koi pond, let me know.
We can still stay in touch. We will be building a new pond down there so the kids will fly down to their new home.

Was the winter just too much Chuck? :frisbee: The summers are very hot there, maybe you should keep the north address for a summer home.

The winters were just to long. They never seems to end. We had frost warning around the 20th of May. Snow on Easter, we are due for a warm change.
We can just turn up the air, we can live with that. Winters are much shorter and warmer. The kids will love it too.

Good luck with the move. Its a stressful time for all. Have you got the new place picked out? When does the pond build start and how big this time????

Yes, we signed the contract. Closing is June 27th. Pond building a couple of days later. Same size pond, just a little different top caps, etc.
Property is 165' by 400'. About an acre and a half. We own about a hundred foot of the pine forrest behind the house.
Here's a few pics.

So where's the pond going behind the first trees?

No about 25 feet behind the house inside an area that will be fenced.

Chuck, that's a beautiful house - congratulations! I'm sorry you're having to leave your brand-new and gorgeous pond, though I know you'll have just as nice a pond at the new place! The Atlanta Koi Club is just full of nice people, too!

The upside is you won't have to go through the snow in winter to see the pond. Is the fence to keep the deer out? :frisbee:

Thanks Lynda, looking forward to meeting new people and seeing new ponds.
The fence is to keep the dogs in. You never kep deer out if they want in.

nice house and yard Chuck. I'm sure your new pond will be great also. Will the fish have to wait long, or will it be done when you move in?? Someday I'd like to reside somewhere warmer, but I'm not betting the mortgage.

Hi Marla,
They will be in a temporary home until the new pond is completed. We did not want to leave them here alone. Should not be to long.

Are you moving all the fish Chuck? or are you leaving some for the new owners?

When we sold our previous house the people asked that I leave them a couple of fish, I agreed but when it came to the wire I took them all but left them a bunch of fry so I did keep my promise.... sort of as all the fry were goldfish not koi.
