Plant question

Can anyone tell me about Varigated Buttercup,Ranunculus Buttered popcorn as a pond plant. It says it hardy, but is it hardy enough for our climate. I'm in 5B zone Owen Sound Ontario.

I live in zone 4 and it's hardy here, that is if the koi don't eat it first. They devowered my first one the same day I put it in. The second one I put in the small pond and it did much better. Now come to think of it I should see if it came up this year, or if they got it again.
