Thank you. Its 20"x 20.5" being reframed by the gallery so will be closer to 24 x 24.5" when done.

Very nice Jackie, here's hoping you sell lots of your work or get lot's more from that show. 24 X24.5 is a very nice size piece. Of course I like yours the best, those birch tiles are beautiful.

This gallery's complain is I don't have enough large pieces... oh well if it works out I can make some new ones for him. I'm hoping for some sales, framing is expensive :-x
I'm with the gallery on larger pieces. Love large pieces on walls, I have smaller pieces around them, but gotta have that main large piece to work with.

I like large pieces and like to do them but truly I sell a lot more smaller work as folks are more likely to part with a small amount of money than a large amount of money. But the gallery owner is right I need toget backto making a few more larger pieces.

Hi Lynda!!! Glad to see you are still lurking around here
Actually its an old piece but I guess the new picture shows it off better or something. Had a terrible day at the studio today and now I'm just grumpy. Its not often I accomplish nothing at the studio but the last few weeks have been down times for sure.

Merlin at present I'd be happy covering costs... galleries are not cheap.

Very nice Jackie. You are right about the prices, my Mom does Oils and some watercolors, everyone loves the work, but it's hard to price them so they'll sell, yet cover your costs, time, skill, etc. Same in any art form, my sister-in-law does magnificint quilts, has won lots of ribbons, but the cost to buy one is also quite high.

I don't think people realize how labour intensive art can be. Also they are spoiled by the cheap prints out there. Or worse the 'orginal' paintings where they are mass produced by groups each painting just one section or colour. And not for a living wage I may add. Then there are the artists who don't have the confidence to charge what the piece cost them to make, never mind turn a profit on it. I see them at shows all the time. Or worse the one who spent 5 minutes at it and is what I call "too much praise as a child"
