Thanks for the Welcome Jackie and I do appreciate solid info! In case anyone is into Lilies and was wondering if the $5.49 specials you find at Wal mart and Lowes or even Home depot are of any value I am performing an experiment using 3 varieties. Lots of naysayers prompted me into finding out what exactly you do get from the big box stores and I wanted to find out is the troule was really worth it. Can't even remember if I'm a member there or not now.... but I sure know a good number of the posters from the boards in general. Off to a workshop on glass bead making this morning will try to check it out further when I have time.

Mind, I've always applied the motto "You get what you pay for" but I've never minded nursing a plant to health and have bought liles labled from reputable growers that a) didn't grow and b) weren't what they were labled as. Good luck with your experiment.

I bought a mix of lilies from one of the afore mentioned places, white,yellow,red,and pink. The ended up all white except one yellow, the did well though.
