The problem is you've put the picture in the wrong place. You want an avatar not a profile picture. Confusing but there you go. Can't change it for you.

Peg, go to your user CP, select Edit Avatar (under Edit Options/above Edit Profile), you must click Use Custom Avatar, see Upload an Avatar From Your Computer and hit BROWSE ... find the image and select ok for upload... select Save Changes - your done ;)

If you need help I can do this for you.

Here are picks of the new first real pond. As you can see Merlin there is still some finishing touches to be done. Jackie likes to tell me it will never be done, :frisbee: and some how I think she's right

The reason for the wooded boarder is to hold back the top soil untill we figure out if we want to put in a stone wall of 12"x12" ledge rock blocks or a wall of 6"x6" wood. We have a guarry not to far away, so the stone is cheap, easy to get and is very nice. That's one of the fist things to get done this spring. If the snow ever leaves that is.

I vote for rock! Although the wood would tie it into the deck....

Just as soon as you get it finished you'll find the fish have mulitpied and grown and something will need to be done to accomodate them

Hey two nice looking ponds :) I would not worry about hurrying to get the main pond finished, if you hurry it , you will end up not liking the finished pond. :( Take your time and give a lot of thought to each step, then you will end up with something you like. :)

Hi Jackie
That is why its not done! Stone or wood, Stone or wood. We are going to pick up 1 or 2 stones and put them in place to see what we think befor we go and buy more. If we dont like the stones I have somewhere to put them.

Merlin,
We had a plan for the yard, deck and pond and thats why they got done. As for the raised area at the back of the pond, it was not planned. Originally the pond was to be raised on 3 sides, so that you could sit on the side but we had all this left over top soil to move & well you guessed it. We didn't move it. So the retaining wall was an after thought. We did a photo journal from start to finish ( to this point ) but its 170 something pics long. If I could figure out how to post that many and not put the server down . I would share it with you. Not that computer savvy !rofl

I'd pickup a couple more stones than 1 or 2. Hard to tell with just a little peak. Like trying to pic a house colour from a 1 inch square.

Very true Jackie. OH! and about the fish multiplying. Hoping to have an all male pond. So far so good. !rofl But you know mothernature, I'm sure she will throw me a curve ball sooner or later.

I'd like an all male pond myself. Don't understand all the hype about female koi, high maintenance and tend to get fat !rofl much prefer the male torpedo shape.
