They certainly can turn on a dime...

I will have to get the camera back out and take some shots of the larger ones,... they are in a bigger seperate system.

I think those look great. Wakin are so much more impressive looking than standard fantail goldfish like I have. Are they your personal collection or are these for sale? (insert subliminal message here-send wakin to Ron,send wakin to Ron) They will get about 12 inches long won't they?

I much prefer Wakin to other types of goldfish as well Ron. A few of those in the above pictures are 'mine', gifted to me by Koidaddy (KD) last year :). You can see them better here http://www.backyardpuddle.com/images/WAKIN/one/index.htm , in the blue bowl shots. I have picked out a few of the larger Wakin we have to keep around for a while... will try and get some photo's of those soon.

upto about 12" so they say.... average most likely 8" to 10". I hear Luke :frisbee: has some nice large ones in one of his ponds.

Terri, those guys are so cute, do they tend to be friendlier or shyer then the normal goldfish? Do they winter as well??

marla :), Wakin don't know the meaning of the word 'shy' LOL They are happy and friendly goldfish - begging looking for more treats. I can put my hand in the tanks and they are all over me in seconds, to the point I can pick them up if I chose to!

They are just as winter hardy as their cousins (comets, shubunkins, etc)

I'm certainly enjoying my three I bought from you Terri. Friendly and would be more so if I spent more time with them and they didn't share space with old grumpy who spooks them from time to time.

The pouty one is very cute.
