A few of my fish have small irregular shaped irrisdescent spots on their bodies, mostly on the top of their backs and sides. There are no spots on their tails or fins. They look very flat and shiny and when the sun hits them, they look like small pieces of tin foil. I never noticed them before a couple of days ago, but am almost sure they weren't there before. I believe another fish has a very tiny spot today. The fish are not scraping against anything, are not hanging out at the bottom and are eating very well. Could this be Ich?
Thanks,
Sandi

Fish seem to get sparkles in the summer if things are going well. After 16 years old Tweet is showing sparkle this summer.... never saw any metalic in him in allthese years but this year allhis scales have a distinct shine to them
Ich doesn't sparkle, it looks just like salt.

Luke, Sorry. I should have said they were GF. I just wasn't thinking it would make a difference. I appreciate your help.
Jackie, I'm glad to hear Tweet is still doing well. And thanks for your help also.

No problem Sandi, glad to see you here.
At three years of age my gf had started to get sparkles. They were randon through out there body. Looks kinda neat, gives them some personality I think.
