When a new pond is filled is it ok to transfer the fish you have to the pond in a day or so, or is better to wait a week or two. Hope to be filling the new pond next week and it cant be soon enough. my guys are getting to big for thier home and im starting to worry about them getting sick if they are not moved soon.

I'd transfer them the next day. Certainly when we moved here I started moving fish over the day after the pond was filled. Moved two a day until they were all home.

Thanks Jackie, I thought it would be ok but just wanted to double check. i have lots of lime stone from the ground. Was thinking of using it the water fall. My ph sit pretty stable a 7.6-7.8 will the lime stone affect the ph much if I use it?

There seems to be a debate about limestone but if it is native to your area, then its in the water anyway, use it.

Lime stone is in our area but we have city water. Our water comes from Georgian bay and then to the water plant. Npt sure how after processing the water if much lime stome content would come to the house.

Not enough for you or the fish to worry about. Fish adjust to their native water, keeping it stable is more important than chasing numbers. Knowing you local water helps you decide what your pond water should read.
