Greg how cold is your water??

I'm sure my days of feeding them are getting near to the end for this year. Our high temps are going to be in the mid-high 60's this week.

I have started cutting down on feeding. I WAS hoping to get in the upper pond to catch all those little GF but no hip waders! :(

I dont know, I accidentally stepped on my thermometer and broke it :frisbee: For some reason, I am hexed when it comes to thermometers (of any type) lasting me longer than 1 year.

My water temp is still above 80, but only 81...soon I will be in the "ideal Range"...today was 91...but the weather man said it felt like ONE HUNDRED..When I came in tonight (after digging a new dump pit out for the lake) the woman that thinks she is married to me said, "You look hot."
I don't think she was meaning it as a compliment :-x

Outside pond was 55F today only a couple of weeks left before they are brought in to the winter indoor dig. They cruise all day for food at these temps like they know what the winter is about. I think they look there best at this point of the year when the water has cooled down. They get the pleasure of 65F all winter and we get the pleasure of feeding them while we tie on our ice skates before we go out and play a game of shimmy.

Greg I have the same luck as you with thermometers... last one went between two rocks just as I reached for it GG splashed and now unless I pull that section that is foamed in apart it is gone... I judge the temps by how hungry the fish are. Seems they are coming more from habit than food right now so they don't get much. Mostly feeding for the babies as they need the extra at this time of year if they are to over winter in the pond.

Water temp for mine is 68, indoors ofcourse... I fed my goldfish today...

it is "first loser" as in second place is actually the first loser...i was being cute but it was lost on some of the less athletically competitive. :frisbee:

Jojo this forum was Luke's idea,... so after agreeing I set it up. This was Lukes first post in the forum,... the long of the short of it is that although Luke was being cute he was also "testing the waters" here and in his eyes I failed him, which I am sorry for.

Anyways,.. carry on

I remember there being a shadow identity at the time.. oh well the thread at the mud pond is a wonderful thread. Glad you finally got it up somewhere where it will still unmolested.

Weren't you complaining in another thread you wished the "Abominable Snowman would swoop down from the canadian Tundra and frostbite my azz." Men they can never make up their minds  BTW thats Snowwoman to you
