Sent a few e-mails off today looking for bulk suppliers of freeze dried krill. I've heard it's a great way to supplement a koi diet, chock filled with protein for those amazing reds... not to mention that the little piggies go mad when I toss 'em some!

Know where I can buy some in bulk @ a good price?

Thank you fellow Reflectors!

Goodwill To Fellow Mankind I'm Going To Be Ill
As To The Krill
Not Sure Where To Get It. I Don't Know If You Want To Get It In Bulk. You May Find A Can Or Two Of The Tiny Cocktail Shrimp, You Know The Real Mini's May Have The Desired Affect.
Good Luck .

Koidaddy you now owe me...
oriental markets have pink pacific shrimp in freeze-dried 8 oz packs for 9 bucks..they are very tiny when compared to the shrimp "we" eat. i think i counted one time and it came to about a penny a shrimp.

have fun while away Chris don't forget to post some pics when you get back.

As for krill or shrimp the asian markets here have them dried for about 2.98 for a package. One can get shrimp rings on sale for 2.97 fish don't care they like it. I buy the shrimp rings and open them and break them down into feedings.

freeze dried krill is a much better bargain...most of the shrimp ring is water and lacks the nutrients of the krill's gut.

Clarkes has freeze dried krill but at 76.00 a container it doesn't seem cheap to me and I'm sure its only a meal or two for my guys.

Who you talkin' Willis? I didn't buy the krill but do frequent the oriental markets, best deal to date was about 4 oz for 2.98, fish didn't like them all that much, dried. spoiled I guess.

well i can keep the bags i buy for 6 months and the fish still go nuts over them...they're fit for human consumption so they have to be maintained/processed at a higher standard.
