Koi are omnivores and will eat just about anything although each fish has its preferences and it takes them a while to recognise a new treat as food.
Oranges, melon, shrimp, kale, brocoli, peas, romain lettuce, mangos. Mine like spinach and water cress. If you garden chemical free, worms and slugs are good food.

WAaaAAaaAAaaAAaaAAr Eagle HEY!
Hi Hugo
I feed my koi and goldfish oranges on a regular basis. They love them! Go nuts as soon as it hits the water. They are a great sourse of natural vit C. Once they get use to the orange it is a good way to encurage them to come close for hand feeding. My koi were great for hand feeding until I got a small matsube. He is a speed freak and spooks the rest. I am hoping he calms down with time. If not he will have to go, as I want to be able to hand feed again.
