Jackie I don't know the real names on them. I received them from Burgess a couple of years ago free. They call them patchwork petals. I have never found them anywhere. Here are a couple more pics of the rest of the colors. I am also attaching a pic of my azaleas I took while it was raining.
Terri you are most welcome :-)

I can see I'll have to visit the Burgess website and see if they still have them. Probably won't over winter here and I'll never remember to pull them... too many plants that need to come in now.
Great shots, I think you have been practising with that camera

Jackie I LOVE this camera! It is so awesome. I am getting some incredible shots. I still have to shoot my fish at night. If it don't rain tonight I will but I am afraid it might rain me out the next couple of days! I have looked on burgess' website. I have never found them. I would love to have some more!

I have to agree with Jackie, looks like summer. Thanks for sharing though, I'm still waking up to snow and thin ice on most of the pond. What I see through the ice is greener then what I see under the melting snow though

Cinn, I felt those flowers tweaking my memory and after searching here I realized you posted those plants last year. I like them just as much now as then.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I did a search for you, the latin is Sparaxis, search under that name and you'll find quite a few places carry them. Common name Harlequin Flower. Not hardy here..... darn

Busy the azalaes won't last much longer. Their flowers lasts about 2 weeks then gone. Now scaboscia will bloom all summer long as well as the white and blue petal flowers which are widow's tears. The patchwork petals will die back in a month or so.
Jackie I thought I remembered you looking that up last year. I was kind of puzzled by the reply :) But hey I have CRS too!

So scabby's and more goodies take over when the early spring bloomers die back?
You'll just have to post more pics Cin when more comes to bloom..way we're going it will be June before I see spring flowers..

Off work the rest of the week and next week on vacation again, damn wish it was warmer  . Hubby took the week off thought it would be warm enough to do a spring pond cleaning... !bonk I told him wait but he wouldn't believe me. So maybe I can get some stuff outside done, otherwise inside remodel continues, carpet came today for the bedroom and painting started in the bathroom. Maybe I'll be able to get some pictures of the grass coming up

The tulips broke ground today so its only a matter of time although the flurries today are trying to prove the tulips wrong.
Our painting is done but the vanity guy messed up so no sink in the bath yet, shower door should be installed next week. I realize now that I should have taken the other room as my studio instead of the small alcove with the good light and no storage space. All my storage space is now bathroom... what was I thinking????

Well got sick of RAG painting, not sure if I like it. Went out skimmed some leaves out of the pond and tried to get some of the string algae, caused the water to murk up a bit. More green in the pond then the land. Maybe if the weather is nice tommorrow I'll go out with a brush and do a better job. Come on Spring I'm waiting  , did see the crocus starting to poke through not much else yet.

Don't panic about the paint job. It will look a lot different with furniture and pictures on the wall.
Glad you got out and enjoyed some of the day. Here it was windy and flurries from time to time but didn't matter because other than walking the dogs I was stuck inside trying to get the house back in order from the renos. I peeked out at the fish and the water is crystal clear and they are all on the bottom with their fins folding under their chins praying for spring.

Well not to be bragging of course but another Maple suryp day here, the tulips have jumped 3 inches out of the ground, the first crocus will bloom tomorrow and another batch of snowdrops has been found blooming by the pond.
Now of course I'm not really looking forward to all the work that spring brings but it will be nice to be out and about outside.

Okay I thought I would post some pics of my Texas Bluebonnets and my Lorapetulum. The Bluebonnets get better and better!
Jackie if you notice in the back ground you can see green grass! I kind of hated to see green grass which means it is growing and I will have to mow soon. Just another thing on my TO DO list :(
Enjoy the pics!

Cinn, those bluebonnets sort of resemble the lupines I have but sparser. Nice pictures I think I need to move. I won't post a picture of my yard, because it's the same color as this page. Snowed all day yesterday and still snowing as I type. Started sticking last night, have about 1"-2", but amazingly the pond is ice free today.

Cinn thanks for the warm up. Yes, Smith was complaining about the grass turning green here. Says its almost mowing time. His job :frisbee:
I love the colour of the Lorapetulum. Marla I think the blue bonnets are a relative of the lupins. Must be nice to have that sea of blue in the yard.

It is nice! We always enjoy all the flowers blooming. Someone left the freezer door ajar as we almost had frost this morning. The clouds disappeared about an hour before dawn so we didn't have a freeze! It was called for and tomorrow morning too! I hope they are wrong this time. I don't want to loose all my blooms. One of my amaryllis is finally open. I will snap a pic and post it. Jackie the last warm weather I sent you spawned killer tornadoes!! Are you sure you want a warmup again? <G>

Try to send it more gently this time. The winds knocked down my Angel sign and the address sign!!! Smith will have to fix the address sign but the Angel sign is undamaged. I didn't hang it before as the thought of welcoming winter just gave me chills
